Steven M. Lee, PC |
Elisa graduated from Angelo State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and English in 2002. Prior to and while attending Angelo State University, she spent several years working for Stewart & Cox, P.C. in San Angelo, Texas. At Stewart & Cox, Elisa worked her way up from an entry-level position to paralegal work. Her duties at this firm consisted of client interviews, fact investigation, drafting correspondence, and legal memoranda. She also performed all of the Spanish-English interpretation/translation for the firm. Elisa especially enjoyed the ability to work closely with clients and being able to help injured victims. Elisa believes that her experiences at this firm in the area of personal injury prompted her to attend law school.
Prior to entering law school, Elisa was employed as a high school teacher for a Houston area school district. Elisa enjoyed teaching, as it provided her with an opportunity to interact closely with students of different ethnicities and backgrounds. Elisa found working as a teacher was quite exhilarating and rewarding, but continued to be passionate about entering the field of law. After a year of teaching, Elisa began her law school career at Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas.
While at Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Elisa served as the Managing Editor of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review, Student Bar Association Vice-President, and treasurer for the Hispanic Law Student Association. She also served as an intern to Justice George C. Hanks of the First Court of Appeals in Houston, Texas. During her third-year of law school, Elisa joined the law firm of Fridge & Resendez, LLC. At Fridge & Resendez she worked as a law clerk and subsequently as an Attorney. She practiced in the areas of commercial litigation and personal injury. Elisa joined the firm of Steven M. Lee, P.C., in February 2007.
