One woman is dead after a two-car crash in northwest Houston last weekend. (Chron.com)

The accident occurred around 2:15 a.m. Sunday morning on Campbell Road at Clay Road. The accused drunken driver of a Mazda 626 stopped at a stop sign and then allegedly failed to yield right of way. When the driver pulled out onto Clay road he was hit by a woman driving a Mitsubishi Lancer. The woman died at the scene, according to police.

The driver of the Madza has been charged with intoxication manslaughter, authorities said.

The accident is still being investigated.
