Pedestrian Pushed into Path of Metro Train After Being Struck by Vehicle

The accident occurred at Holly Hall and Fannin around 4:40 a.m. this morning resulting in Metro Rail service being temporaily shut down, according to the Metro Transit authorites.  (Chron.com)

The pedestrian was hit by a car traveling south on Fannin and then hit the side of a train.  The operator stopped the train, and Metro Rail was stopped for 26 minutes until the site was cleared of emergency crews and police.

The perdestrian was taken to a nearby hospital and his condition has not been released.  Police are investigating this accident.
