The Texas trucker has pleaded guilty to two accounts of vehicular homicide on Tuesday, authorities said. (Chron.com)

Investigators said the suspect was driving a tractor-trailer rig and crashed into the rear of an SUV during a snow storm in Colorado. Both Grand Junction victims, a 48-year-old woman and a 77-year-old-man, were killed.

Authorities say the truck driver was going between 56 and 63 mph despite the weather conditions and the SUV was traveling about 15 mph when the accident occurred.

Two other vehicles were hit, but there were no other serious injuries.

Sentencing will begin on Nov. 12.
