A Suspected Hit-and-Run Driver is Arrested in Houston Car Accident

A Houston car accident resulted in the arrest of a suspected hit-and-run driver. The car crash took place in the southwest area of Houston at approximately 10:00 PM on Thursday evening, October 22, 2009.
According to investigators, the unidentified driver slammed into a motorcyclist and then fled the scene of the crash. The incident took place at the intersection of Bellaire Boulevard and Baneway Drive. The motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Bellaire Boulevard when the suspect driving a small car hit the rear section of the motorcycle causing the motorcyclist to crash.
According to reports, the driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The unidentified motorcyclist was transported to West Houston Medical Center and treated for injuries. The extent of the motorcyclist’s injuries has not been reported, however, the rider is reported as being in stable condition.
According to police, the hit-and-run driver never stopped the car when the driver clipped the rear of the motorcycle. Police say the driver continued down the road. However, police did find the car later parked at a nearby apartment complex. The driver was located and taken into custody.
The Houston hit-and-run incident is still under investigation by local authorities.
