
A north Houston car crash resulted in one death and an injury on the morning of Friday, July 3, 2009.
The fatal Houston car accident took place at approximately 7:15 AM in the 3000 block of North Sam Houston Parkway. According to Houston Police Department spokesman, John Cannon, the crash occurred when a man driving a white truck pulled over to help some people who had been involved in a one-vehicle accident on the service road. A red Chevy HHR heading east on the service road smashed into the back of the truck.
William Edward Kanak, a 56-year-old man, was the front seat passenger of the Chevy. Kanak was killed in the accident and the driver sustained facial injuries.
The car crash is still under investigation.
