
A Houston motorcycle accident involving three vehicles leaves six people injured after the vehicles collide during an alleged street race. The incident took place late Saturday evening, May 1, 2010, along FM 1960.
According to reports, the driver of a silver car appeared to be racing a motorcycle along FM 1960 at a high rate of speed. The silver car slammed into a Lincoln Navigator sport utility vehicle (SUV) that was turning eastbound onto FM 1960 from a local restaurant. The force of the impact caused the SUV to hit the motorcycle.
Rescue crews transported the female driver of the SUV to Ben Taub General Hospital where she was listed in serious condition. She had three children in the SUV with her at the time of the wreck. All three children were taken to Houston Northwest Medical Center. Their conditions were not made known.
The motorcyclist was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital. The motorcyclist was also listed in serious condition.
Rescue crews had to use special equipment to remove the driver of the silver car. The driver was also taken to Ben Taub General Hospital and listed in serious condition.
The Houston motorcycle accident is still under investigation by local authorities.
