North Harris Drunk Driving Accident Kills One Person

Posted on Sep 04, 2009

A North Harris drunk driving accident claimed one life last weekend.  According to investigators, the car accident took place at John F. Kennedy and Connorvale at approximately 7:15 PM on Saturday.

The driver of the 1998 Dodge Caravan was arrested for intoxication manslaughter after the passenger died.  Apparently, the van went through a stop sign, struck a car and then crashed into a nearby house.  The names of the accident victim and driver have not been released by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

A witness told investigators that the van was heading east on Connorvale when it ran a stop sign and smashed into a 2004 Infinity G35 that was traveling north in the 13000 block of John F. Kennedy Blvd.

The van then went through the yard of a home and smashed into the house in the 4300 block of Connorvale.  The passenger was taken to the hospital and was later pronounced dead.
