Tickets are not Being Issued yet from Red-Light Cameras

Posted on Jul 13, 2011

All 70 Red-Light Cameras at the 50 intersections in Houston have been turned back on, but so far no tickets have been issued. (Chron.com)
Every violation has to be reviewed before tickets can be issued and HPD does not have the available manpower.  Houston is working to staff the in-house office that reviews the raw feed of violations provided by American Traffic Solutions.

In any case tickets will start being issued soon.  To avoid getting a fine, and to prevent accidents, it is essential to follow all traffic laws and fully stop at each intersection.  Red-light cameras do help influence drivers to obey the law and decrease accidents and injuries at their corresponding intersections.  With or without these cameras, hundreds of people die each year due to traffic accidents. If you become a victim of driver who runs a red light, you might be able to hold the driver responsible. You might be able to collect compensation to help secure your family's financial future.

If you or someone you know has been injured in a Houston accident, you should contact an experienced Houston accident attorney at (713) 921-4171 or (800) 232-3711.
