Tow Truck Driver Struck, Killed By Suspected DUI Driver in Houston

August 13, 2010 - Houston, TX - Rogelio Flores was responding to a call to pick up a suspected drunk driver's vehicle when he was struck and killed by another drunk driver.
Click2Houston.com reports Rogelio Villalobos, 25, was driving his Nissan 240SX when he cut off Flores' tow truck. The wrecker clipped the side of the Nissan, then crashed into a utility pole and a sign pole. One of the poles broke in half, landing on top of the wrecker's cab. The accident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on August 6 on the northbound side of Jensen Drive near Laura Koppe Road.
Flores was pronounced dead on the scene while Villalobos was taken into custody. When questioned by police, he admitted to having just left a bar where he was drinking. He has been charged with intoxication manslaughter in connection with the Houston DUI crash.
