Truck Slams into Wall Killing 1 and Injuring Another

The one-vehicle accident occurred around 7 p.m. Saturday night in north Houston, authorities said. (Chron.com)

The driver of a black Nissan Frontier ran a stop sign in the 2900 block of Bay Street at the Eastex Freeway.  He then crashed into a concrete wall that is part of the Eastex Freeway's on-ramp, authorities said.

The driver was taken to LBJ Hospital where he died.  The passeneger was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital and his condition is unknown, authorities said.
